Not that I've found, but I can make the home button on my s23 activate Alexa in the settings. Looks like bxactions doesn't work anymore.

Understandable, in the plus column though it's a once off fee and is unlimited, but not everyone will want to pay for the developers work but I haven't found a free version yet.

Unfortunately the PC version of Alexa is being deprecated :(

Could you be a bit more specific as it has helped others? It's also an old video so it's possible steps have changed since it was posted.

They can be used alone, but be sure to check that the one you get is specifically able to read and write on the fobs you have.

For most gigabyte motherboards go to BIOS setting > [Advanced] > [Onboard Device Configuration] and turn on the [RTC SUPPORT] option. This might vary on your device, so the best thing is to Google your make and model.

Depends on the TV, some will turn on when there's a change of signal from the HDMI but it really depends on the TV. Most won't since the TVay not be supplying power to the firestick when it's turned off.

ESmartLock is the one for thus particular lock.

In theory the devices connected shouldn't be able to pull any power, but no harm checking with the manufacturers details to be sure. The strip itself will always draw some power to control the smart functions but I'd expect that the connected plugs shouldn't. Having said that, given that there's still a circuit connected just switched off by the control board, there might be a tiny power draw.

I've seen a lot of people with the same issue. Seems like they don't like connecting to PCs. You're best options are to see if you can update the Bluetooth drivers in windows. Other people have commented that if they reset the Alexa device it sometimes works but this isn't ideal.

As for the Apple TV, I haven't tried that, but if it support Bluetooth it may connect, but might only output to that so might not give you the surround option you're looking for.

I haven't had any issues to be honest, it does give me room for pause but Amazon's API is fairly restrictive so permissions wise i don't see that I'm giving the developer anything I'm uncomfortable with.

The dots don't support changing the direction of the aux port. It's audio out only, won't support audio in so the option doesn't show in the app. Only the larger echos seem to support it, and even then not all of them. :(

Unfortunately there needs to be a device on the network. You could probably just use a wake on lan app on the phone to do the same thing, but this will only work when you're connected to the same network, so on your own WiFi. At least with the physical echo I can do this even when I'm not home.

It's gone again it seems. I think they just don't bother with Fire Versions. It's the same with RTE player unfortunately. :(

Been a while since I used it, but from what i can remember you can have several. I think it's up to 10 but don't quote me on that.

I had the same issue when combining the 5ghz and 2.4ghz wifi signal I to one SSID, when I separated them into two separate networks it worked, so something worth trying.

They seem to have patched it out again. It's very weird, but hopefully, when Amazon finally have a .ie website things will work properly.

It looks like the official Alexa for windows app is dead. They're removing it from the store and no more updates or support.

Try Tuya smart life or just Tuya. Compatible with most but not all. Some have their own app :(

RUclips / rte took down the video I had to help with that. All I can say is that RTE have no plans for an official fire stick version, but apparently version 1.0.0 works on firesticks for the moment.

I think the new version of the lock has matter support so doesn't need a bridge, I know that they're moving away from bridges, but the openers need a bridge last time I checked.

Unfortunately the Windows Alexa app has been discontinued and there's not much out there in terms of support. I think your best bet is trying heyvicki.net/ as I've heard good things about it's PC control functions using Alexa, though I haven't tried it myself.

The speaker you can see is actually an Amazon Echo which I now have playing music in my livingroom. The headphones were GOJI bluetooth I had for travelling, which I think came from PC world, but they weren't great so I'm just using earbuds now, and the microphone was a Fifine K670 I believe. No longer have this, I'm using a Rode microphone now.

I'm still using it. For me it discovers the PC as a switch rather than a PC or any other type of device. It took me a bit to get my head around it all, but if it's not picking anything up, make sure you have the mac address etc correct on the WOLSkill website and that you're signed in with the same Amazon account as you use Alexa with.

@@AndysTechLife I finally got it to work. I re-add the MAC address and some how it showed up on my Alexa "add devices".

Best thing to check is that the default windows sound output device is the Echo and no other device. If that doesn't work the only other things that seem to work are updating windows BT drivers and if that fails you can try resetting the Echo. Not ideal but it seems to work for a lot of people.

It looks like Amazon have pulled it from the Windows Store. You may be still able to find an offline installer for it somewhere but Amazon don't seem to be doing the Windows version any more :( You could try: ccm.net/downloads/lifestyle/9219-alexa-app-for-pc/ but I haven't tried this myself so no guarantees it will work.

Unfortunately since this was made Samsung has updated their software so it's not as easy any more. Having said that I have an S23 myself and in settings, apps and default apps you can change to Alexa under voice assistant if you have the Alexa app installed.
